This March, voters will decide on an Urban Renewal District for South Corvallis – a 30 year plan, with millions of dollars at stake. The plan would affect everything from affordable housing to public safety, and also include commercial development and beautification. Property tax revenue allocations would also be affected.

February’s City Club of Corvallis Lunch will examine the plan, and its anticipated outcomes. Panelists include County Commissioner Xan Augerot, and Corvallis City Councilor Hyatt Lytle. Another two panelists will come from Willamette Neighborhood Housing Services: Jim Moorefield, and  Rebecka Weinsteiger.

As always at City Club, generous time is reserved for an audience Q&A session.

This event is free and open to the public. Scheduled for Tuesday, Feb 12, the event starts at noon, though doors will open at 11:30 a.m. Address: Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis at 1112 NW Circle Blvd. A lunch from Valley Catering will be available: $10 for members and $15 for non-members. You may reserve lunch by end of business, Friday, Feb 8. You can also pay online with a credit card. The meeting will adjourn at 1:30 p.m.
