The tumultuous Republican primary season continues with votes due April 3 in Wisconsin and April 24 in Rick Santorum’s home state of Pennsylvania. OPB political analyst Bill Lunch will discuss the progress of the 2012 elections to this point. He will look ahead to the Republican presidential nomination and the fall general election campaign. He will also briefly look back at the 2012 legislative session and the prospects in Oregon for the 2013 session.
Lunch retired as chair of the OSU Department of Political Science in 2011 and continues to serve as political analyst for Oregon Public Broadcasting. In his academic work and teaching, he emphasizes American national political institutions, Northwest regional politics and environmental, natural resource and science policy. He has received awards for his commentary from the Society of Professional Journalists and the National Press Club.
