Wastewater treatment has been called the greatest environmental success story, but meeting federal regulatory standards in the face of a growing population requires ingenuity and investment. The City of Corvallis is considering three options for removing end-of-pipe discharges from the Willamette River: irrigation at the Trysting Tree Golf Course, irrigation at area farms and biological treatment in created wetlands. Conservation may also play a role in reducing the amount of water flushed through the system and thus the “downstream” impact.

This is such an increasingly important topic — I wonder if the City Club will follow up on this ! ??
