New Town Halls Announced for Early 2022

After a recent hiatus, City Club of Corvallis is pleased to announce resumption of their CitySpeak town hall series – these forums are offered free of charge, and they’re an opportunity for Corvallisites to directly ask questions of area leaders, authorities and experts.

Livestreamed by The Corvallis Advocate on both their website and Facebook page, video of these programs is always freely available anytime afterwards for those that can’t make the live events. Questions from the public can be submitted by emailing The Advocate, or messaging them on social media. Generally, the paper starts accepting questions about a week ahead of each program.

Slated so far:

Oregon State University Check-in. President Becky Johnson, and Board of Trustees Chair Rani Borkar. January 28 at 6:30 pm.

Restaurateurs Dish. A combo of Corvallis restaurant owners talk about the industry locally and nationally Рbefore, during, and possibly after, the pandemic. On the menu, owners of old favorites, and some newbies too.  February date to be determined.

CityReport 2022. Mayor Biff Traber, Commissioner Xan Augerot, Police Chief Nick Hurley, and leaders from Corvallis schools and the area business community. We also look at area sustainability efforts. February 22, 6:30 pm.

The CitySpeak series is presented jointly by City Club of Corvallis and The Corvallis Advocate. Sponsors include Peak Sports and First Alternative Natural Foods Co-op.
